“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” by Marianne Williamson

(The quote was used by Nelson Mandela at his Inauguration Speech, 1994)

  • courage to live

Living the numinous unconcious

Welcome to a 4 days deepening biodanza retreat at Dharma Mountain in Valdres, Norway.

Theme for the retreat:

Living the Numinous Unconscious -the divine aspects of life.

During the 4 days we will explore different aspects that helps us awaken the divine Self. The following qualities are sentral: – love – courage to live – illumination and – intasy (internal extacy)   As we are in nature, we will also use the four elements earth, fire, air and water to help us in this process.

  • The element of earth is a symbol of the primordial, our internal centre, the base, the roots, the connection with here-and-now, and our ability to feel Mother Earth and all life as a place for healing, comfort, creation and rest.
  • The element of water represents our ability to live with flexibility, adjustment, purity, sensuality, pleasure, melting together and fusion. It represents us allowing ourselves to abandon, to give up control.
  • The element of fire relates to our vital energy, our determination, intensity, transformation, erotism, passion and deep desire. It is also related to our inner flame, the unique energy waiting to be expressed and manifested in life.
  • The element of air helps us to open up for freedom, expansion, lightness, tenderness and sensitivity. From the open heart we can receive life in an embrace.

As alchemists we’ll explore and unite these human qualities and allow them to harmonize within us and with life around us.

Mindfulness – Grunnkurs

Posted on: July 19th, 2012 by sujan

River of Grace – Concert retreat with Kirtana

Posted on: April 2nd, 2012 by sujan

We are happy to invite you to an exclusive and beautiful weekend with Kirtana at Dharma Mountain, in southern Norway.

This is an oppurtunity to experience Kirtanas music in an ambience of meditation, surrounded  by majestic nature… This retreat will have meditation and poetry as its main theme.

In Kirtana’s own words, the best description for both her music and her purpose in sharing it, is to “celebrate divine love and the truth of who we are”.

Her music has been used in many groups and retreats at Dharma Mountain and other beautiful places all over the world. Many hearts have been touched by her honest, vulnerable voice and devotional poetry.

To take good care of the precious space we create together, the program & meal participation will be mandatory. If one wishes to attend only the concert, you are welcome to the Kirtana Concert in Oslo, the day before the retreat at Dharma Mountain.

There will be a soft program.   Friday evening we will have an exclusive moment with Kirtana, and saturday evening she will share a concert with us. We will provide delicious vegetarian meals from Dharma Kitchen staff.

The retreat begins on Friday, June 1st, and arrival-time is between 16:00 and 17:00 in the afternoon. The program will start with Kundalini Meditation at 17:30.
The retreat ends on Sunday, June 3rd after lunch.

The price is NOK 2900,- for the weekend.  This includes housing in our cozy cabins in shared rooms, program, all meals, program  and both Kirtana events.  Single rooms are available for NOK 300,- extra pr night.  Bed linen and towel kit can be rented for NOK 100,-.  For more information about payments, please go here.

It will also be possible to sleep in your own tent, on the grounds of Dharma Mountain, for NOK 2400,-, meals and program and concert included.

To make your stay even more relaxing we can offer individual sessions like Relaxing Massage, Tai Massage, Reiki, Cranio Sacral and Classic Massage in our session cabins, at an additional cost.

We have a limited amount of space so to ensure your participation, please book early!

You are most welcome!

Retreat with Vasant Swaha – Sacred Silence

Posted on: October 27th, 2011 by sujan

A silent retreat inspired by the beautiful tradition of Zen – where the seeker simply sits with himself in silence – allowing first the body to become quiet, then the mind and the emotions, letting everything settle down so his true nature can come forth effortlessly.

In Satsang with Swaha one has the opportunity to clear any doubts that are obstructing the way to real peace. It is the greatest blessing to be able to rest in the company of an awakened one, where the grace of love and silence is always falling softly on the open hearted seeker – like snowflakes in a quiet winter morning.

In this retreat we will only have one arrival date, so we can dive deeper in the silence together.

New Year Biodanza

Posted on: October 20th, 2011 by sujan

Welcome to

New Year’s-Biodanza,

a 3 day dancing retreat at Dharma Mountain

30th December 2011 at 13:00 – 1st January 2012 at 14:00

Theme for this retreat:

Being(s) in the Heart of Life

Give yourself a joyful and healing transition to the New Year!

For 3 days we will dance and celebrate life together.

Through dance and human contact we open up to connect deeper with

ourselves, others and life in all its totality.

Let go of what you no longer need to carry and open up to the path of your heart!

Through the dance we will make contact with our own true nature as “Human Beings in the Heart of Life”.

Some of the themes we will explore are:

  • The heart as symbol of our life force and power (heart beat).
  • The heart as our inner light, beacon and guardian.
  • The heart as the basis for all forms of love.

Freedom, human bonds, universal love, friendship, innocence, longing, joy, delight, eros, kreativity, empathy, spark, fire, warmth, rhythm, flow, integration, vitality, compassion and care are some of the keywords describing the retreat.

As we are in nature, we will also use the elements earth, fire, air and water to help us in this process.

  • The element of earth is a symbol of the primordial, our internal centre, the base, the roots, the connection with “here-and-no”, and our ability to feel Mother Earth and all life as a place for healing, comfort, creation and rest.

We’ll dance into the New Year with pleasure, joy and love.

You do not need any previous knowledge of dance. There will not be any steps taught.

All you need is a pulsating heart and a desire to open up to life in all its beauty!

You can read more here.
