The Twin Paths Retreat: Awareness and Love

15. oktober - 18. oktober, 2026

Mia Bekkesveen, Maria Khakhalkina & Jeremy Halpin

There is something truly special that happens when we step away from everyday life and the familiar. Surrounded by nature and stillness, a space opens where we can listen more deeply and meet ourselves in new ways.

So take this opportunity to enrich your practice with new meaning and knowledge. Become more aware in the body, gain understanding of how it works with the conscious and unconscious mind, connect and activate through the heart. Take the twin paths, there and back again, to yourself.

What makes this retreat unique?

This retreat brings together different paths:
body, awareness and heart, into one shared experience.

Through movement, stillness, and guided practices, you are invited to explore yourself more deeply, reconnect, and gain tools that stay with you beyond the retreat.

During the retreat you will experience:

  • A deeper connection to your body
  • Greater emotional openness and clarity
  • A safe space to slow down and listen inward
  • Tools to bring awareness into your everyday life
  • A sense of connection, grounding, and shared experience

Why we created this retreat

Mia: Dharma Mountain has been a very special place for me. After several years of teaching group classes and workshops, I now feel ready to offer something deeper and more holistic through longer retreats. And it felt completely natural to do this here, with this group of teachers who each bring something unique.
The blend of yoga, embodiment practices, and ceremonial elements carries a quiet, but profound power. I truly believe that what we will guide participants through together can touch many layers, opening pathways to insight, transformation, and deeper integration. If you feel a resonance within you, trust it. You are warmly welcome to join us.

Jeremy: I have always been drawn to the deeper mechanisms behind how we function, whether through traditional Chinese medicine, integrative health, or work with the subconscious.
Over the years, I’ve found that when different approaches are brought together, something meaningful happens – insights emerge, and change becomes more accessible.Working alongside yoga practitioners from this perspective continues to reveal new layers of understanding. This retreat offers a rare opportunity to explore beyond familiar patterns and discover something new.

Maria: As a yoga practitioner and body therapist, I understood that the body goes far beyond movement or technique.
My own practice became a doorway into a much deeper relationship with my body – how I listen, respond, and meet myself changed how I feel in my body which brought a new depth and meaning to my day to day.
At some point, it felt natural to create a space where this could be shared. Not as something to learn in theory, but something to experience. This retreat is an invitation for those who feel that there is more to explore. A space to reconnect, understand your body in a new way, and take something real with you into your everyday life.

With clear, grounded guidance she weaves together precise sequencing and alignment with mindful movement, breath and awareness – allowing classes to be experienced as a form of moving meditation that makes it easy to follow along, regardless of level.

Jeremy Halpin: brings over 40 years of clinical experience in traditional Chinese medicine using Acupuncture, Japanese Shiatsu and energy work. He is a published researcher with the Karolinska Institut in Stockholm within the field of Integrative medicine and has a long background as an international teacher and speaker, establishing diploma level education in four countries.

Maria Khakhalkina has worked for 20 years in body therapy, specialising in the connection between structural and emotional patterns in the body. Over the last decade, they have travelled the world learning Plant medicine practices with indigenous tribes and now hold ceremonies and retreats of their own suitable for Europeans.

Together, they combine a strong clinical foundation for people seeking deeper connection and understanding. You are invited into a space where you can explore at your own pace, feel supported, and reconnect with yourself in an authentic and embodied way.
